Dr. Tanvir Ahmed is equipped with sound academics, multifaceted enriched experience, varied dimensional competencies and armory of skills. His personal and professional growth is systematic, methodological, progressive and institutionalized. As proof of his commitment and dedication, he was conferred upon Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) on 14 August 2011.  

He is an Aeronautical Engineer with a BE (Avionics) degree from PAF College of Aeronautical Engineering affiliated with NED University, Karachi. Post graduate diplomas in Aviation and Electronics engineering, a doctorate degree MS leading to PhD in Info Technology and Computer Sciences from the UK with specialization in Software Engineering, computer-based projects specialist training in China, a large number of professional, technical, organizational and refresher courses and workshops at national and international level have transformed him into a competent and  professional expert. His teaching approach is based upon individual growth and nurturing strong ethical and moral values aligned with role models of society and technology. He possesses variety of research interest and contributions. A large number of research thesis at PhD & MPhil level; number of text books/ précis, journals articles, conference papers, project reports, editing scientific journals, organizing conferences, workshops and seminars are at his credit.  He served in public as well as corporate sectors in varied dimensions risen from bottom to top as:-

• Maintenance officer to a consultant.
• Grade 3 staff officer to Brigadier Trials
• An instructor to the Commandant
• Programmer to Director IT Projects
• Inspector to Director Quality Assurance
• Quality Implementer to Director Quality Management System & Industrial Safety

• Lecturer to Professor, Head of Department and Dean

In Grand Asian University Sialkot, he is getting further focused to promote computer-based technologies in all spheres of life and proposing solutions in the area. His vision is to develop students and services at par with the market that are capable of exploiting technologies and competent enough to challenge computer based issues at national level.  He is deeply involved in Computer based activities, education management and projects to strengthen the infrastructure and end products of the department. His passion is to ensure qualitative education with special emphasis in research and market trends.
