Prof. Dr. Tanvir Ahmed

Dr. Tanvir Ahmed is a graduate from NED University, Karachi and completed higher studies MS leading to PhD in Computer Sciences from the UK with specialization in Software Engineering. He underwent specialist trainings on software projects management in China and locally in public and corporate sectors. He led the teams in computer and technical education, projects development, quality assurance, standardization and competencies development. A large number of professional, technical, organizational courses and workshops at national and international levels have further refined his potential. His teaching approach is based upon individual growth and nurturing strong ethical and moral values aligned with role models of society and technology. He supervised number of PhD & MPhil thesis and is an author of books/ précis, journals articles, conference papers, project reports and is a valuable member of international scientific journals’ boards of editors. His contributions in varied level conferences, workshops and seminars in public as well as corporate sectors have been profound and targeted.

Dr. Tanvir Ahmed is equipped with sound academics, multifaceted enriched experience, varied dimensional competencies and armory of skills. His personal and professional growth is systematic, methodological, progressive and institutionalized. He is dedicated to his profession and committed to make difference. He is a recipient of Scholarships in Matric and MS leading to PhD abroad (UK). He also got conferred upon Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2011.

In Grand Asian University Sialkot, he is getting further focused to match the vision of top management for ensuring quality education in only purpose-built academics environment in the region. His efforts are to lead professionally qualified team and develop students and services at par with the market, capable of exploiting technologies and competent enough to challenge computer-based issues at national level. He is deeply involved in Computer based activities, education management and projects to strengthen the infrastructure and end products of the department. His passion is to ensure qualitative education with special emphasis in research and market trends to enable students to become best professionals in future.
