Dr. Mazloom Shah is HEC approved Ph D supervisor. He completed his M. Phil degree in Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. He was awarded with CSC scholarship for his Ph.D. studies in Chemistry. He earned his Ph D degree in Chemistry from Department of Chemistry, University of Science & Technology of China, Hefei, China in 2015. His research is basically focused on the synthesis, characterization and catalytic application of controlled shape, size and composition Ni, Cu, Pd, Ag and Sn metallic, bimetallic and supported nanocrystals/nanoparticles, synthesis of co-ordination compounds such as tin & nickel carboxylates etc., for production of biodiesel, production of fuel like hydrocarbons from renewable resources, chemicals from lignin, conversion of toxic nitro aromatic compounds to amino aromatic compounds and transformation of cyclic ketones to phenols, construction of nanoparticles@metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) as heterogeneous catalyst, photo-catalysis, photocatalytic production of hydrogen from water, photoreduction of CO2 into fuel, and semiconducting Bismuth sulphide thin films for solar cell application. Dr. Mazloom Shah was appointed as an Assistant Professor Chemistry in September 2015. He was completed 1st Postdoctorate from XTBG-Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018 and 2nd Postdoctorate from Yancheng Institute of Technology in 2020, China. Dr. Mazloom Shah joined Abbottabad University of Science & Technology (AUST), Abbottabad as a Lecturer in October 2020. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2021. Currently, he is serving as HOD & Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences at GAUS. He has published 39 research articles with total impact factor of 178 in well reputed SCI impact factor international HEC recognized peer reviewed journals including Fuel, Biomass & Bioenergy, RSC Advances, Applied Catalysis A, Catalysis Communications, Science China Chemistry, Energy Conversion & Management, Molecules, Chemistry Select, Frontier in Chemistry, Journal of Molecular Structure, Material Chemistry & Physics, etc,. He has presented research papers at several national and international level conferences.
