Dr. Muhammad Waleed Butt is an Assistant Professor of English with a specialisation in linguistics at Grand Asian University Sialkot, having commenced his tenure in May 2024. He earned his PhD in English from Foundation University Islamabad, with a dissertation titled "A Corpus-Based Linguistic Analysis of Pakistani Legal Discourse in English," reflecting his expertise through his work on Pakistani Legal English, and corpus. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, which started since completing his MA in English at the University of Gujrat in 2014, he is committed to fostering analytical and critical thinking skills in students. He has held various teaching positions, including lecturer roles at NCBA&E Gujrat and Mukabbir College Gujrat, and as a senior lecturer at ILM Group of Colleges, Gujrat. Additionally, he contributed as visiting faculty at the University of Gujrat for two years, and also one year at BEST College Gujrat, bringing his insights into each classroom setting.

An active researcher, Dr. Waleed has been a part of eight research publications and attended nearly 20 national and international conferences, workshops, and trainings. He was a part of International Summer School for Advanced Language Engineering (ISSALE), held in University of Columbo School of Computing, Sri Lanka in 2014. His MA research explored "A Cognitive Study of Conceptual Metaphors in the Political Discourse of Pakistani Politicians," an area reflecting his interest in discourse analysis. Holding an MS in Linguistics as well, he brings comprehensive expertise in language studies to both his teaching and research roles.
