Professor Dr. Syed Muhammad Nurulain
Professor Dr. Syed M Nurulain, an accomplished educationist, graduated with distinction from the University of Karachi, Pakistan. He pursued his doctoral studies at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Semmelweis University Budapest, Hungary, achieving Summa Cum Laude. Devoting his entire career to education, scientific exploration, and academic leadership, he spent over twenty years in institutions outside Pakistan before dedicating about eight years to COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan and presently serving in Grand Asian University Sialkot. His guidance has led numerous students through successful bachelor's, master's, and PhD studies and research projects in the field of biological sciences, resulting in impactful publications in esteemed international journals. Professor Nurulain’s research interests encompass Pharmacology, Toxicology, Neuroscience/Neurotoxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Gene-Environment interaction, Phytochemicals, and Antidotes for Organophosphorus poisoning. He has authored over one hundred forty research papers, prominently featured in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals and three book chapters. Additionally, he has presented his research findings at prestigious international conferences such as the Society of Toxicology in the USA and the International meeting on Cholinesterase and Paraoxonases. He has also had the privilege to visit esteemed universities in China, the Academy of Science in Ukraine, Hradech Kralove University in the Czech Republic, and Florida International University in the USA, in addition to United Arab Emirates. Prof. Nurulain has international research collaborations from reputed university in USA, Czech Republic, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Cameroon. Prof. Nurulain is a member of the editorial board of international journals. Beyond his academic and research roles, Dr. Nurulain has been actively involved in institutional services, serving as the Head of the Department of Biosciences and contributing to scores of administrative committees as convenor and member.
