Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 16 years of expertise in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, specializing in fermentation biotechnology. Holding a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from PMAS Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, his academic journey has been marked by numerous accolades, including the prestigious Higher Education Commission (HEC) indigenous scholarship for his doctoral studies and an IRSIP fellowship for research at Denmark Technical University.

As a Professor of Biochemistry and the Head of the Department of Biosciences at Grand Asian University Sialkot, Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood is at the forefront of teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities. His academic contributions are exemplified by the publication of over 60 research articles in internationally renowned journals, accumulating more than 1900 citations, showcasing his significant impact in the scientific community.

In addition to his role as Project Director at Grand Asian University Sialkot, Prof. Dr. Sajid Mehmood has held various key administrative positions in different universities, such as Vice Principal at Islam Medical and Dental College and Head of Department at Nawaz Sharif Medical College UoG. His dynamic leadership has played a pivotal role in establishing and enhancing educational programs, including the initiation of BS, MPhil, and PhD Biochemistry and Biotechnology programs.
