Civil Technology is an emerging and highly demanding discipline in the 21st century. The 4 year degree program is one of its kind as apart from theoretical engineering concepts equal emphasis is set on developing job-ready skills. The Construction industry is the country’s 2nd largest sector after agriculture that is responsible for providing a direct boost to the Country’s GDP. Civil Engineers cater for the national and international needs of construction/design of buildings, highways, dams, bridges, irrigation network and water supply systems. At the undergraduate level, emphasis is laid on the fundamental concepts and principles constituting the basis of Civil Technology practice.

Civil engineering is open to many career opportunities and handles different types of projects like construction and rehabilitation of buildings, roadways, railways, skyscrapers, urban establishments, agricultural storages and development of new materials and procedures etc. Safety and security are important parts of civil planning, and civil engineers have a unique opportunity to engineer buildings and structures that keep people safe and minimize the risks of injury and harm.
