Deputy Engineering Adviser (Civil): 2011 to 2020

                    Worked as Deputy Engineering Adviser in the Federal Ministry of Water and Power, Islamabad and has mid-level engagement in scrutiny, review and coordination of National Level Water Sector projects and looking after PANCID (Pakistan National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage) Secretariat.

Superintending Engineer (Floods): 2010 to 2011

                       Worked as Superintending Engineer (Floods) in  Federal Flood Commission Ministry of Water and Power, Islamabad and engaged in planning, scrutiny, review , coordination  & implementation of Structural and Non-Structural Flood Protection measures Country-wide.

Assistant Engineering Adviser (Civil): 2006 to 2010

                          For around four years worked as Assistant Engineering Adviser in the Federal Ministry of Water and Power, Islamabad and had desk level engagement in scrutiny, review and coordination of National Level Water Sector projects and performed secretarial duties in PANCID (Pakistan National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage) Secretariat as well.

Assistant Professor: 2002 to 2006

                    For around four years served as faculty member in Civil Technology Department at National Institute of Science and Technical Education (NISTE), Federal Ministry of Education, Islamabad. Apart from teaching of technical subjects, involved in national technical curriculum development process, exam administration, industrial liaison, student affairs and coordination and monitoring of academic activities of the Institute.

Junior Research Officer: 1995 to 2002

                  For over seven years worked as research team member in the Hydraulics wing of Irrigation Research Institute (IRI) Lahore. During this period has been engaged in the planning, design, construction, calibration, experimentation, review and implementation of various scale model investigations of important national water sector projects/problems.

Site Engineer: 1994

                        For one year worked as site engineer with Associated Consultancy Centre (Pvt.) Ltd. Islamabad and was deputed on a road project in Balochistan province of Pakistan for structural works inspection and quality assurance.

Additional Activities

  • Frequently acts as External Examiner / Visiting Faculty for undergraduate and post graduate  Civil Engineering subjects at  university level.
  • Acts as External Supervisor for project/thesis of Civil Engineering students at both undergraduate and post-graduate level.
  • Received foreign trainings from Japan, Thailand and Netherlands.
