HEC Encourages Participation in UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings 2026

The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan has formally encouraged all public and private sector universities to participate in the **UI GreenMetric Sustainable University Rankings 2026**, recognizing the vital role of Higher Education Institutions in advancing sustainability, environmental responsibility, and climate action.

As the **UI GreenMetric National Coordinator for Universities in Pakistan**, Grand Asian University Sialkot (GAUS) welcomes this important initiative and encourages institutions across the country to actively participate in this globally recognized sustainability ranking framework.

**Important Reporting Clarification from UI GreenMetric**

Following an official query raised by GAUS, the UI GreenMetric Secretariat has confirmed that universities should report the **most recent available 12-month institutional data**. Participating institutions may use **any complete 12-month reporting period between January 2025 and June 2026**, depending on their data availability and institutional reporting cycle.
