Objectives:
Upon graduation, student will be able to demonstrate responsibility and accountability to the
Nursing profession by:
• Adhering to established patterns of professional practice, which support the legal, religious and ethical tenants of Pakistan
• Incorporate the Nursing process to provide safe, competent and holistic Nursing care to patients/ clients in a variety of settings.
• Utilizing scholarly skills and use of scientific methods in critiquing and applying existing nursing theories and research findings in practice settings.
• Developing attitudes and socio political skills to influence the individuals, families and communities to mobilize and allocate available resources to meet identified health needs.
• Developing leadership skills to promote development of the profession.
• Provide a competent pediatric Nurse who provides the holistic care to pediatric patients and to prepare team for working in neonatology emergency and all type of pediatric units.
• Enable the graduate Pediatric Nurse who will be skilled in making clinical assessment, interpretation of clinical findings and taking appropriate decisions and actions in integrated patient care
• Demonstrate the advanced competency to integrate with knowledge and skills by using systematic approaches to the nursing care for the general and pediatric patients.
• Provide an educational frame work that will encourage the student to develop analytical skills, critical thinking and creative approach for holistic nursing care.
