Dr. Aniq Ur Rehman

Assistant Professor

Dr. Aniq Ur Rehman is a dedicated researcher and educator specializing in Food and Nutrition. He completed his PhD in Food & Nutrition from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in 2024. His doctoral research focused on the nutritional characterization of water chestnut as a functional food for managing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and type 2 diabetes. Dr. Rehman’s expertise spans functional foods, phytochemical analysis, and chronic diseases management.

He also holds an MPhil in Food & Nutrition from UVAS Lahore, where he conducted research on the nutritional status of cancer patients during treatment, and a BSc (Hons) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

    • Led projects on milk safety and quality, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, and presented findings at national conferences.

    • Delivered courses in Food and Nutrition and supervised student projects.
  • Food Safety and Nutrition Supervisor, Gourmet Foods Lahore (2018 – 2020)
    • Implemented food safety protocols and conducted audits to ensure compliance with international standards.
