Blood Donation Society
A student society for voluntary blood donation, donor awareness and emergency support.
Aim
To promote voluntary blood donation and raise awareness about the life-saving importance of regular blood donation among students.
Objectives
Organise regular blood donation drives and awareness campaigns.
Educate students about the health benefits and importance of blood donation.
Collaborate with hospitals and blood banks for donation events.
Maintain a database of willing donors for emergency requirements.
Encourage a culture of voluntary service and compassion among students.
Code of conduct
Every member agrees to these ten commitments on joining the society.
- Members shall treat every donor and beneficiary with compassion and dignity.
- Active participation in donation camps, screening drives and awareness sessions is required.
- The medical privacy and personal choices of donors must be respected without exception.
- Members must follow medical protocols set by the executive committee and healthcare partners.
- Coercing individuals to donate or mishandling donor information will not be tolerated.
- Medical supplies, kits and donation equipment must be handled hygienically and responsibly.
- Members shall uphold the society’s credibility while coordinating with hospitals and blood banks.
- Punctual presence at donation camps ensures smooth and safe operations.
- Members must follow healthcare and safety regulations during all donation activities.
- Negligence in donor handling or breach of medical ethics may lead to removal from the society.
