Grand Asian University Sialkot continues to uphold its commitment to global causes promoting food security, nutrition, health, and environmental sustainability. In connection with the World Food Day, celebrated annually on October 16, the university organized a walk and seminar to raise awareness and align efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly the mission to eradicate hunger.
Themed “Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future,” this year’s observance brought together students, faculty, and staff with great enthusiasm. The event began with a walk followed by a seminar held in the university’s main auditorium.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor as Chief Guest, along with Deans, Heads of Departments, and Directors from across the university. The Deputy Director of the Punjab Food Authority (Sialkot Region) joined as Special Guest, highlighting the importance of ensuring safe, pure, and nutritious food for the people of Pakistan.
This impactful event was organized by the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Agricultural Sciences at Grand Asian University.
