Code of conduct
Every member agrees to these ten commitments on joining the society.
- Members shall collaborate professionally and share technical knowledge generously.
- Regular participation in workshops, site visits and design sessions is required.
- Diverse engineering approaches and design opinions shall be evaluated on technical merit with respect.
- Members must follow safety protocols and directives from the executive committee.
- Negligence regarding structural safety standards or engineering ethics will not be tolerated.
- Surveying instruments, models and equipment must be handled carefully and returned undamaged.
- Members shall uphold professional conduct during site visits and industry interactions.
- Timely attendance at technical sessions and field visits is expected of all members.
- Members must comply with safety regulations during laboratory and site activities.
- Compromising safety standards or professional ethics may result in suspension from projects.
