GAUS Music Club
A student club for vocal and instrumental talent, performance and musical appreciation.
Aim
To nurture musical talent and provide students with a creative platform to explore, develop and showcase their musical abilities.
Objectives
Provide a platform for students to showcase their vocal and instrumental talents.
Organise musical concerts, jam sessions and competitions.
Conduct training workshops on vocals, instruments and music theory.
Promote appreciation of diverse music genres and traditions.
Encourage teamwork and creativity through group musical performances.
Code of conduct
Every member agrees to these ten commitments on joining the club.
- Members shall support and encourage one another’s musical growth with respect.
- Consistent attendance at rehearsals, jam sessions and performances is required.
- All musical genres, instruments and styles brought by members shall be valued equally.
- Members must follow the direction of the music coordinators and executive committee.
- Disruptive behaviour during rehearsals or performances will not be tolerated.
- Instruments and sound equipment must be handled carefully and returned undamaged.
- Members shall uphold the club’s artistic reputation during public performances.
- Arriving on time for rehearsals and concerts is essential for group coordination.
- Members must follow campus noise and facility-usage policies during practice sessions.
- Damage to instruments or repeated absenteeism may result in removal from performances.
