Educational Background

Engr. Muhammad Hassan Mehmood holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus.

Research Contribution

Muhammad Hassan Mehmood’s research focuses on the development of plastic-based paver blocks as an innovative and sustainable alternative to conventional concrete blocks. The study aims to reduce environmental pollution by utilizing waste plastic as a primary binder material, transforming non-biodegradable waste into a valuable construction product. By examining the mechanical properties, durability and cost-effectiveness of plastic paver blocks, the project evaluates their suitability for pedestrian pathways, parking areas and low-traffic roads. This approach not only promotes recycling but also contributes to eco-friendly construction practices and resource conservation.
