Prof. Muhammad Tariq Aftab is a professor of pharmacology. His skill caters both basic and clinical aspects of drug development. He is a medical graduate and earned his PhD from University of Karachi. He was trained in Clinical Pharmacology in Policlinico Borgo Roma Hospital, Verona Italy. He gained experience from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, London, UK. He was professor of Clinical pharmacology in College of Medicine, Dammam University, Dammam, KSA before joining Islam Medical and Dental College, Sialkot. He had been a member of Advisory Committee and Funding Board on Drug Research, Ministry of Health, and Government of Pakistan. He has worked as Project Director Postgraduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, KM&DC , Karachi, Chairman Postgraduate Committee and  Member Research Advisory Board Dow University of Health Sciences and Chairman of Master Program, University of Dammam, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Many students have completed their research for MS and PhD under his supervision. He is also a regular writer on Social/Medical/Socio medical topics in print media of Pakistan.
