Dietetics & Nutrition

Vision

To produce high caliber nutritionists equipped through the training they receive, to support the rapid changes in the field of Nutritional Sciences and play key role in the economic development of Pakistan. This vision is pursued in par with core values of the University which are integrity, excellence, teamwork, discipline and dedication to work. Poor nutritional indicators for Pakistan demand some initiatives to uplift the nutritional status and initiation of ADP Dietetics and Nutrition is important mile stone in this context. This department is aimed at not only producing skilled nutritionists but also enhance the awareness about different nutrition related issues that ultimately will uplift the nutritional status of the country.

Objective

 

  • To produce competent Nutritionists with adequate scientific background to meet the needs of public and private sector
  • To provide professional leadership, services and outreach activities in the major areas of Nutritional Sciences
  • To resolve issues oriented in the field of Nutrition and dietetics
  • To meet the training needs of public and private sector
  • To produce competent nutritionists and Dietitians for different organizations
